And I owe that revelation to one of my youngest teachers—a sweet, sensitive little girl named Kiara from my days as a pre-primary teacher.
Kiara was the kind of child who didn’t talk much but carried a world of wisdom in her tiny heart.
She was quiet, reserved, and always sat on the school bus with me.
I’d often save chocolate for her whenever it was a classmate’s birthday, and she’d beam like I’d handed her the moon.
One day, I casually asked her, “Do you love chocolates that much?”
Her response floored me.
With the sincerity only a child can have, she said, “No, I don’t love chocolates. I just like them. We can’t love things. It’s only for people.
